Resident Artist at
The Grand, Folkestone

Zoe Le Clercq is The Grand's most recent artist in residence following on from numerous artists such as Ken Clark, alias Lord Clark of Civilisation and Director of the National Gallery, who bought with him Henry Moore.

Yoko Ono's installation ''Earth Peace'' 2014, appears at The Grand as a flag, an inscribed stone and as a morse code message beaming out a flashing light over the Channel.

The Grand has also been a popular haunt for the performing arts with Michael Caine making his stage debut here in 1939.
From 1933 for about 40 years, Agatha Christie was regularly in residence and where she wrote ''Murder on the Orient Express''.
